The Shocker Track Club will host a Youth (Ages 8 and Under through High School) Indoor Meet on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at the Wichita State University Heskett Center. September Intercession Fitness Program Begins on September 1, 2022
The September Intercession Fitness Program begins on Thursday September 1, 2022 at 615p at Wichita State University’s Cessna Stadium Track. The Registration Fee is $30. Coaches for this program will facilitate general fitness, speed, strength, and endurance activities. This program serves as a precursor to the STC Youth Indoor Program. Complete information follows. KateLyn Nichols Earns Hardware at USATF Junior Olympics / Repress and Hilgenfeld Represent
STC Youth Team Member KateLyn Nichols finished in a tie for 4th place in the Girls 15-16 High Jump at the USATF Junior Olympics in Sacramento, California earning All-American status! KateLyn cleared 1.50m (4′-11″) in earning the 4th place tie. KateLyn, an Inman High student-athlete, was “clean” through the first four heights of the competition and nearly cleared 1.55m. KateLyn also competed in the 15-16 Long Jump and 15-16 Triple Jump. Congratulations to KateLyn!! Results >> Girls 15-16 High Jump Results
Other STC Youth Team Members competing in the Junior Olympics competed well! Kila Respress (Goddard Eisenhower High) finished 23rd in the Girls 17-18 Shot Put with a put of 10.16m, and Eva Hilgenfeld (Whitewater Remington High) finished 10th in the Girls 17-18 High Jump with a clearance of 1.50m.
Adryana Shelby Excels and Wins While Mourning Father’s Passing
Shocker Track Club Youth Team Member, and Wichita Northwest High junior-to-be, Adryana Shelby won the Class 6A 300m Hurdles at the KSHSAA 2022 Outdoor Championship Meet. Earlier this year, Shelby’s Father passed suddenly leaving her and her family mourning and struggling. Read today’s article from The Wichita Eagle written by Taylor Eldridge.

It’s been a slow-going battle, but we are proceeding with plans to host our Bill Butterworth Indoor on STC 2022 Bill Butterworth Pre-Registration Links for Saturday and Sunday, February 12 and 13, 2022 at our Wichita State University Heskett Center. I fully recognize that having a meet on a Sunday may be a challenge for some of you, but that was our only option.

Shocker Track Club is excited to announce the summary details of the 2021-2022 Youth Indoor Track & Field program. The first practice will be on Monday, October 4, 2021 at Wichita State University’s Heskett Center. This year’s program is for children ages 7 through 18 including high school seniors. Youth Intercession Training Program Begins
The Shocker Track Club (STC) Youth Team is excited to offer OUTDOOR INTERCESSION Track and Field training for August and September 2021. Practices will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays (excluding holidays) from 630p to 730p at Wichita State’s Cessna Stadium. The fee is $25 total for two months of training. STC Elite and Youth Alumni Compete Well at Wichita State Shocker Spring Invitational
Eleven (11) athletes – all current Elite or former Youth Team members – of the Shocker Track Club competed hard and well at the Wichita State Shocker Spring Invitational! A quick run down of the participants follows –
Elite Team Members Tonya Nero (3rd 5000m), Skylar Arneson (3rd Hammer), and Dominic Artis (4th 200m) competed with excellent marks in their outdoor debuts!
Wichita State University Team members Jaleel Montgomery (1st 100m (1st), 3rd 200m , and 4×1), Kyler Meyer (7th High Jump, 8th 100H ), Audrey Bebermeyer (9th Pole Vault), Alyssa Wheeler (6th PV), Jalyn Whorton (14th LJ, 14th 100H, 10th 200m ), and Sadie Boos (Hammer 13th)(STC Youth Team Coach).

February 19, 2021 – Plans are being developed for the 2021 Spring/Summer Outdoor season and will be announced in early March! Workouts will be held on the Wichita State University campus beginning in April. Training will again be provided in every event in Track and Field for Youth ages 6 through 18 and May 2021 high school graduates. Training programs are also available for Parents to participate!
