STC Road Racing Team Unveils Team Jerseys!
The new Shocker Track Club Road Racing Team modeled their new team jerseys earlier this week!
The STC Road Racing Team is for the casual and competitive adult runner that desires to improve their capabilities and performances with goals of competing in various road racing, cross country, and track events. Emerging Elite, and Elite athletes are welcome.
The annual membership fee is $110 and includes: coaching, coaching strategies, strategic practicing, a team competition jersey, shoe purchase discount at team sponsor First Gear Running Company, and a donation to the team foundation to support Road Racing Team Elite athletes.

Stephanie Knab Competes in the SeaWheeze Half Marathon
STC Youth Team Director Stephanie Knab competed in her first long distance competition in today’s SeaWheeze Half Marathon in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada! Stephanie posted a very respectable time of 2:51:09! Congratulations, Stephanie!

The Shocker Track Club will be hosting the first ever Track & Field Recruiting Combine at Friends University on July 16, 2016! This event is for high school and junior college athletes. Youth Team Athletes Sign Letters of Intent
Four Shocker Track Club Youth Team athletes signed Letters of Intent during recent signing periods. Garrett Kennedy – Pole Vault (Goddard Eisenhower High), and Davis Bahner – Multis (Wichita Heights High) signed with Wichita State University. Makayla Hollis – Pole Vault and Sprints (Conway Springs High) signed with Friends University. Christian Compton – Pole Vault (Derby High School) signed with Missouri Southern State University.

Milton, Cottrell win STC Throws Pentathlon
Wichita State junior Jamesia Milton and senior Weston Cottrell won the 2015 STC Throws Pentathlon Saturday at Cessna Stadium on the campus of Wichita State University.

Milton and sophomore teammate Kelsey Slawson battled back and forth all day with the final margin being only 82 points (3290-3208). Milton came from behind in the final event (Weight) to pull out the victory.
Cottrell battled with junior Zach Loesch before pulling away in the final event 3407-2755. Master’s competitor Rob Bergstrom did very well to end up 3rd with 2651 points.
The winners were presented with the “Rice Krispie Cup” for their efforts.

STC Elite Update – 3/28/15
Several members of STC Elite got their outdoor seasons underway this weekend at Emporia State and Arkansas.
Austin Bahner had a nice meet in preparation for the Decathlon by hitting 24-0.75 (7.33m) and placing 2nd at Emporia. He also ran 10.80 in the 100m and threw 148-3 (45.18m) in the Discus. Bahner plans to do a Decathlon in two weeks at Arkansas.
Matt Byers opened his season with a victory at Emporia in the Javelin. His best effort was 223-7 (68.16m) and he had five throws of 64.92m or better.
Oliver Bradwell also competed at Emporia and ran 10.86 in the 100m.
Over in Arkansas Tomas Cotter ran in the seeded 1500m race and placed 3rd in 3:51.19.
We hope to see all of these athletes and more in a little over a week at Wichita State for the KT Woodman Classic!
