See below for practice dates and concepts for the 2018 Track and Field Outdoor Season.
All practices will be held at Wichita State University Cessna Stadium Track, or in appropriate areas on the Wichita State University Campus.
Practice begins on Thursday, April 5, 2018
PRACTICE DAYS
April –
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 600p to 730p, and Saturdays from 100p to 230p
Dates – April 5, 7, 17, 19, 21, 24, 26 and 28
May –
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 600p to 730p.
Dates – May 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29 and 31
June –
Practices – Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 645p to 815p
Dates – June 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27
July –
Practices – Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 645p to 815p
Dates – July 2, 3, 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25, 30 and 31

PRACTICE CONCEPTS
Practices focus on the basics (putting down a base) with a focus on a dynamic warm-up, general fitness, running, developing core strength, and stretching.

WHAT TO BRING TO PRACTICE
Athletes should dress in layers, wear running shoes, and bring a water jug, hand-towel, and spiked track shoes.

INCLEMENT WEATHER
If inclement weather warrants a cancellation of practice, we will send emails and text messages to parents.  We will also post a cancellation notice on the Shocker Track Club Youth Team Facebook pages.
