When Madison Castillo was 9 months old, her parents were informed she had suffered a stroke at birth.  Her  entire right side was weakened, including her leg and arm.   Her parents were told that she might never walk, much less run.

But that has not deterred Madison as she has developed into a highly competitive athlete!  Now 18 and a member of the Shocker Track Club Youth Team, Madison won a gold medal this summer in the long jump at the 2015 U.S. Paralympics Track and Field National Championships.
